
MUMBAI - Well-known Russian martial art form 'sambo', a self-defense technique without weapons, will become part of the Asian Games soon. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has recognized the martial art and it can be seen in the 18th edition of the Games, scheduled at Hanoi, Vietnam in 2019, sources said. A loose combination of wrestling and judo, 'sambo' was actually developed by the Russian Army in the early 20th Century.
