We have to make sure we do that throughout the 40 overs and not 25-30 overs. I have got the feeling that there is a really good performance just around the corner," Ponting said at an event here.
The 40-year-old said the side is lacking confidence at this point of time but needs to be at their best against Chennai Super Kings here on Friday.
"We are lacking a bit of confidence as a group at the moment. We obviously haven't got off to a great start. As a group we have to make sure we work really hard. We play a very good Chennai team in a few days. We have to be at out best to win the game against Chennai," Ponting said.
