LOS ANGELES,CA - To commemorate the spirit of giving during Thanksgiving , a free eye care clinic was held on Nov 29 in Downtown Los Angeles by the Anekant Community Center and the International Jewelry Center, with support from the Diamond Club of West Coast, the International Diamond and Colored Stone Association, Dr. Nitin Shah, and Dr. John Larcabal. the free eye exams throughout the day, which took place on the Ground Floor Plaza of the renowned Intl. Jewelry Center. The event featured eye chart exams, vision screeners, tests for eye pressure, and free consults with a licensed optometrist. Free eyeglasses were made available as well for those who needed it. A team of 25 volunteers helped with the set up and operation of the eye exam clinic. The event was the brain child of Nishith Chokshi who sponsored the event and hosted the volunteers and participants alike.
