On April 24, the mandir’s Patotsav committee, clarified that Paramatma’s divinity never dissipates. It is only our ‘bhava’ or devotional love that ebbs. By celebrating Patotsav, our inner sentiments for Paramatma and the religious head 1008 Shree Acharya Shri Rakesh Prakashdasji has been rekindled and reinvigorated and blessed the occasion.
The Acharya’s’s younger brother Nareshbhai Pandey performed a grand Abhishek of the murtis..Saints from Swaminaryan Mandir of Norwalk also joined in to perform Abhishek .The sanctified Panchamrut, known as Charanamrut was collected and later given to the devotees. After Abhishek, the murtis were bathed with water and adorned with shrungar - garments, ornaments and flower garlands. A small, yet rich Annakut of sweets and savory dishes was offered to them. The Annakut prasad was served to around 600 devotees present. Shastri Dev Prasadji Swami, Shastri Chandra Prakashdasji Swami, Pujari Swami Hariprasadji were lauded for their service along with Parshad Ram Bhagat who prepared large quantities of food for devotees for three days.
