NORWALK, CA - Swami Tadrupanandji of Manan Asharam in Gujarat gave a series of discourses on the Bhagawad Gita at the Sanatan Dharma temple, here from Aug.10-16. The lectures were kicked off by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony performed by the trustees of the temple.

Also present was Tapaswini Shraddhanandini ji .Swamiji talked about importance of the two great Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata and then went on to explain the central role played by the Gita in understanding Vedic philosophy. He spoke of how the text explains Karma, Bhakti and Sanyas yogas and how one can experience freedom from attachment.
He spoke in detail about Chapter 12. Hinduism, he pointed out, is not conservative but is a universal religion with its principles, philosophy not being limited to a particular community but On the concluding evening, a book authored by Swamiji on “ Aparokshanubhuti” was released. The discourses were organized by the Patel Foundation of USA and Manan Study Center(India) in association with the Sanatan Dharma Temple. Prof Keshav Patel of HMEC, Hargon Patel of Patel Foundation, Chunilal Patel, Taraben and Magan Patel performed several duties on stage.
