The Turtle Rock Community Park Multipurpose Room was decorated to reflect the theme of Christmas. The multicultural program began with a classical Bharatanatyam dance, followed by a children’s skit to convey the story of Jesus’ birth.
Several children performed dances and song recitals, and adults sang melodious songs in various Indian languages to share the message of Christmas. Delicious Indian food was also served.
A thoughtful reflection by Finney Premkumar summed up the whole Christmas story. He said, “we are estranged from God due to sin, yet God reached out to us through his Son Jesus Christ. Anyone who receives this divine gift by faith can be reconciled to God and enjoy eternal life.” Towards the end, Santa Claus made a grand entrance and distributed gifts to all children. The kids also participated in an online quiz and received prizes.
