LOS ANGELES, CA – A packed hall of around 1700 was mesmerized by Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji’s signature Music for Healing and Meditation concert ‘Sarasangi Ragasagara’ at the Orpheum theatre here on July 13. The theater was packed with devotees who came all over the US and from as far as Indi,
Swamiji himself played keyboard and would start each composition to set the tone for meditation while the accompanying musicians would carry the message forward. Most of the attendees kept their eyes closed during the concert and took off for the inner journey towards peace and bliss. The music helped them transcend above the universe of material existence.
Natalie A. Nevins, President/CEO, AD World Health presented a garland to Swaniji and V. R. Raman emceed the event. Raman in his opening remarks said Swamiji was ‘Naada Brahma’ a supreme being in the field of music.
While talking to IJ, Swamiji said there were 74000 nerves in the body and14 important nerves had been identified that help in healing from different health conditions. He said several studies had been done to prove the effect of music in the process of healing. He added he had coined many ragas that had been found effective in stimulating the nerves and help in healing of chronic disease conditions. Prasadam was served to all at the end of the concert.
