Gurdwara Hollywood. Upon the arrival, the Asa Di Vaar began by Bhai Jatinder and Sathi from the Hollywood Gurudwara. Proceeding that was the Ardaas and the Hujamnama. Students from an assortment of Punjabi schools in the greater Los Angeles area took turn on stage to perform Kirtan. Various Kirtani Jathas then came on stage to perform Kirtan. Nearly 20 Gurudwaras were represented at this event from different locations in California. Sant Anoop Singh from India performed soulful kirtan. The highlight of the event was five Raagi Jathas performing Kirtan together. Taking time in between the singing, organizers handed out Siropas (shawls) to Ram Singh, Harnam Singh, Balvinder Garcha, Davinder Singh, Gulabh Singh, Santokh Singh Khinda and Jaggi Bhaji, Manjit Singh, Hari Singh Bhogal, Joginder Sidhu, Bhai Kirtan Singh and Associates, Malkit Singh Sogy, and Gurmeet Singh Multani as appreciation for all the time and effort put into making this event a success. Langar was served all day starting with breakfast for those who came early as well as a lunch. Food was catered by various Indian restaurants in the area. A Punjabi Bazaar was set up with vendors selling a range of products and doing brisk business.
