CLEVELAND, OH –Ro Khanna who is running from the 17th district in California, was wed to long time fiancee Ritu Ahuja in a Hindu ceremony on Aug. 29, here. Ahuja, 36, till early this year, worked for Bulgari, the Italian jewelry and accessories company. She is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington D.C.,
and received a master’s in strategic communications from Columbia University in NY. Her parents are Usha and Monte Ahuja, the latter is the chairman of Mura Holdings, an investment firm, and is the chief executive of Transmaxx, an automotive transmission parts supplier, both in Ohio. Khanna, 38, teaches at Stanford University, and is an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University. From 2009-11, Khanna worked for the Obama administration as a deputy assistant secretary of commerce. He graduated from the University of Chicago and received a law degree from Yale. Khanna’s mother Jyotsna is a retired special education teacher and father Vijay retired as a chemical engineer from Rohm & Haas.
