crowned Miss Huntington Beach Teen USA 2016, the preliminaries for the statewide contest. She will now be vying to bring the title of Miss Teen USA 2017 to California for the third time after 1994 and 2013. Patel in her statement said, “I have participated in several opportunities to serve my community and beyond. I have been working with a campaign known as Kindness Begins With Me, in order to raise awareness towards the injustice known as bullying which countless children suffer from today. In addition, I volunteered at the Special Olympics, a senior center and Kaiser Permanente’s Maternity Department.
