MISSOURI CITY, TX - Indian-American Councilman Robin Elackatt, has been elected mayor pro tem. Elackatt, who is serving his third term on the council, is the first Asian American to serve as Missouri City’s mayor pro tem. He has been reelected to the City Council three times, the last being in 2013. A healthcare administrator, Elackatt and his wife, Tina, have two daughters.
He has served as vice chairman on the Missouri City Parks Board before being elected to the city council. Public safety, infrastructure and improving business are his stated priorities.
