LOS ANGELES, CA - In an ongoing attempt to make a difference in the community, Sunil Narkar, an executive officer and founder of the AME Medical Group Inc., strives to do anything he possibly can for people entrusted to his care. “Helping people, taking care of them is my goal. I am always there to help ill people.
This was a great opportunity I got to give back to the community,” said Narkar in response to why this business interests him. After working for seven years with the State of California and reaching the highest point after attaining all of the promotions possible, Narkar decided to quit his job to open his own medical group. On May 1, 1997 AME Medical Group Inc. was formed with five physicians.
Today there are four AME Medical Group locations in Southern California. Two in Downey, one in Anaheim, and one in Long Beach. These locations have a total of 14 providers and a staff of 30 individuals.
Narkar manages a group of physicians who specialize in Urgent Care and Primary Care. He has widespread knowledge in a variety of areas.
“I have extensive experience in managed care, workers’ compensation and disability management, where I have interviewed staff, observed work processed and gathered data relating to operational and managerial practices and procedures for use in evaluating services provided and determining compliance to goals and objectives,” said Narkar.
Additionally, there are an assortment of other duties and skills that Narkar has become proficient in over the years. These include an understanding of resolving complex ethical dilemmas as demonstrated by successfully resolving major issues in a complex organization including resolving budgetary constraints that affect the delivery of services, major decisions that affect medical center staff and decisions that affect facility utilization.
Enjoying doing everything with a hands-on approach, Narkar is an individual who loves to make plans and implement them however possible. He has come to be known as a person who is a corporate strategy expert and is credited with many successes.
“I am driven by challenge and undaunted by obstacles and over the course of my career I have fought and won virtually all types,” said Narkar. Additionally, Narkar appreciates individuals who have self-starting characteristics. Some traits he regards highly are creative thinking, initiative, teamwork, commitment, and performance.
