Narkar has done more than 50 commercials for the national and international companies in US including Nestle, Budweiser, McDonalds, Sprint, Arbys, Wendys, Coke, Toshiba, Intel, IBM, Cisco, Nike, State Farm, Farmers, Candy Crush, and India.com among others.
In India he started off doing theatrical production on stage and behind the scenes. After moving to the US, he continued doing so for the Indian-American community but then decided to start auditioning for mainstream audiences in the US. Talking about his Marathi film,’Dhurandhar Bhatavdekar’ which will be released in the month of May, he says. “I got to work with veteran Marathi actors like Mohan Joshi, Mohan Aagashe, Jayant Sawarkar and Kishori Shahane. It is a romantic comedy directed by Kshitij Zarapkar. It was a great experience”.
Talking about commercials he has done over the years, Narkar said that movies are the best, but East Indians do not get major roles however commercials gives one huge popularity as they run frequently.
Talking about his short film “Love” which he directed, wrote the screenplay for and also played the main role in, he said, “I enjoyed the challenge of making a short film while juggling all of the jobs I was in charge of. When I wasn’t in the shot, I was making sure the shot was how I pictured it to be and when I was in the shot I watched it repetitively to confirm the scene”.
Besides acting, Narkar and his wife manage three Medical clinics under the name of AME Medical Group Inc. in Southern California as a CEO. “I started this business in 1997. I divide my day in two. I go for auditions in the morning and in the afternoon I work at my clinics. My clinics are open from 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week”.
