
SAN DIEGO, CA - Keerti and Keshav Tadimeti performed their Carnatic music arangetram at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living on Sept 21. The disciples of Dr. C.M. Venkatachalam, they were accompanied by Aravind Sheshadri on violin and Kalyan Vaidyanathan on mridangam. The two began with the Sri Gayathri slokam and went onto to present a slew of songs that covered a range of languages,

thalams and ragams. These were compositions of Muthuswamy Dikshithar, Tyagaraja Swamy, Purandara Dasa, Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi, Papanasam Sivam and Annamayya among others.
Keerti and Keshav have trained for several years and performed at numerous music events including the annual festivals of the Indian Fine Arts Academy, San Diego, and the Cleveland Aradhana Festival. They trained in Western flute play in the Center for World Music’s Gamelan ensemble, a traditional Indonesian instrumental ensemble. Keerti is a part of Sunatya, the classical dance team at UC Davis, where she will be a rising sophomore.
Keshav is at Canyon Crest Academy, where he is a senior this year.
