BEVERLY HILLS, CA - Daily Variety, the entertainment industry’s leading trade publication, released its annual Dealmakers Impact Report and singled out prominent attorney Arnold Peter for the leading role that he has played in bridging the gap between the Indian entertainment industry and mainstream Hollywood. Working with some of the most iconic Indian filmmakers, Peter has managed to negotiate and close some of the most important deals between the two entertainment industry capitals.
“Five years ago, I had little connection to the land of my ancestors but with the opportunity to serve the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, I became familiar with some of the best filmmakers in the world who are now taking their rightful place in the global marketplace,” Peter said.
With his roots in India, Peter is the only attorney member of the Los Angeles-India Film Council, an initiative of the Motion Picture Association of America. The Council represents a who’s who list of celebrated producers, directors and filmmakers in both markets. He serves as outside general counsel to the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE). Peter was named one of the 25 most prominent South Asians in the media and entertainment industry by Korn/Ferry International.
