PASADENA,CA – P. P. Vaidyanathan, Kiyo and Eiko Tomiyasu Professor of Electrical Engineering, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. Professor Vaidyanathan was elected for “contributions to digital filter bank theory and design, according to a Caltech press release.” Election to the National Academy of Engineering is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.
Academy membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to “engineering research, practice, or education,” the release added.
