The new, interactive exhibit explored topics like neurological disorders, psychology, advancements in neuroscience, neuroanatomy, and neuroethics. Karishma Muthukumar, Sumedha Polu, Nikita Satish, Sravya Sankar, and Fidella Wu from Whitney High School and Shreya Shantharaj from Cerritos High School designed the exhibit to promote neuroscience research and education. Visitors received instructional pamphlets, activity booklets, and unique stationary like brain-shaped erasers and pencils. Having designed displays for CHOC Children’s Hospital and the Cerritos Library in 2015, this was Synapse’s third exhibit led by 12th grader Karishma Muthukumar.
