ORANGE, CA- Lions Club of Little India celebrated their 14th installation Nite on May 15, at The Tandoor Restaurant, here. The Guest of Honor La Palma Councilmember Nitesh Patel installed the team that included Amrit Bhandari President; Dilip Butani, Chairman; Ajay Khetani, Secretary; and Kantilal Shah, Treasurer.
ORANGE, CA- Lions Club of Little India celebrated their 14th installation Nite on May 15, at The Tandoor Restaurant, here. The Guest of Honor La Palma Councilmember Nitesh Patel installed the team that included Amrit Bhandari President; Dilip Butani, Chairman; Ajay Khetani, Secretary; and Kantilal Shah, Treasurer.
The other team members installed were : Nicki Kapadia, Charu Shivakumar, Nauzad Sadry, Siddharth Pathak, Ramesh Bhatt, Ramesh Ramnani & Sukrit Mukherjee as Vice Presidents; Dinesh Gala as Chairman Membership; Suresh Bhatti as Jt Secretary; Subhash Tolia as Jt Treasurer; Bharat Shah as Lion Tamer; Mohan Sharma as Tail Twister. The Board of Directors installed were Hark Vasa, Vasu Pawar, Kamlesh Chauhan, Aparna Hande, Darshan Shah, Sameer Gajjar, Prakash Pancholi, Raj Motwani, Balbir Singh, Chandru Shroff, Anila Bhasin, Nila Parekh, Radhika Patel, Manoj Brahambhatt, Dipika Desai, Bani Mukherjee, Vijay Barot & Keshav Patel.
Councilmember Patel, who was introduced by Chairman Butani complimented the team for their various projects that included feeding the homeless, paying for the educational expenses for students of Kanyashala, Mumbai and collecting glasses for Lions Eye project. Current President Shah gave an account of various activities during the past months while incoming President welcomed everyone and spoke about forthcoming projects.
Field officer Pat Buttress form Orange County Board of Supervisor Don Wagner’s office wished the new team on behalf of Wagner. Dr Anil Shah spoke about the smart village project for which Lions Club will be a contributor. Thereafter, Khetani gave details about the Kanyashala project and thanked everyone.
Guests were entertained with a music program by Bollywood singer Nauzad Sadry along with Siddharth Pathak, Subhash Tolia, Mohan Sharma & Ajay Khetani.
