BEVERLY HILLS,CA - The historic Saban Theater here was graced by the who’s who in the media & entertainment industry on May 3 for the glamorous Ms. Reshma Beauty USA 2019 pageant, presented by ZEE TV. Dordi, CEO of Reshma Beauty and Showbiz India, is widely popular for her work as a TV host for over 20 years and is also well known for producing the Ms. Showbiz India pageant. This time, she brought the pageant back 10 years later...
with her beauty brand – Reshma Beauty. This family owned business started from the farms in India and is now a household name in the South Asian market in the US. Specializing in natural ingredients such as henna, turmeric, kale, saffron among others these products have revolutionized the beauty industry.
Defying traditional norms, the pageant, was a celebration of diversity as the 18 contestants represented different cultural backgrounds, and ages. While some of them were homemakers and mothers, others were engineers, scientists, financial analysts , actors, comedians and, models. After an exciting, nail-biting round of Q&A with the top five finalists, 23-year-old actress, model and dancer, Aathira Rajeev won the judges over with her compelling answer citing Robin Williams. Her wit combined with her poise, charm and talent made her the frontrunner for the coveted title of Ms. Reshma Beauty USA. The first runner up, Madhulika Krishnan and second runner up, Kadi, also had a powerful presence on-stage and impressed the audience and judges with their pizzazz and confidence.
This star-studded event was co-hosted by Dordi and Bollywood actress, Tanushree Dutta who was also in the news recently for spearheading the ‘Me Too Movement’ in India. As an inspirational figure for women across India, there could not have been a more ideal co-host for this event. Bollywood celebrities Abhay Deol and Neetu Chandra also attended the event and shared motivational stories from their own journey to stardom.
The judges included entrepreneur - Paiy Hansra; innovator and philantrophist; Paresh Ghelani, Legendary Hollywood icon Zsa Zsa Gabor’s widower Prinz Frederik; media personality- Joys Wong; President of Almex USA - Ravi Tilak; Cardiologist - Dr. Sheila Kar and beauty expert, Rudy Munoz.
The winner of the pageant was awarded a modeling contract with Reshma Beauty and will be the brand ambassador for the year 2019 for all endeavors that the company is involved with.
