BEVERLY HILLS, CA – TiE – SoCal held its monthly meeting on April 25 at Spice Affair Restaurant here. Around 75 members and entrepreneurs attended the event which was sponsored by The Sirkar Group. Their representative talked about Wealth Management such as financial planning, investments, insurance, trusts,
and taxes. He also answered questions on the value, usage, and trends in this transformational and hot commodity.
TiE SoCal Executive Director Anshuman Sinha welcomed the members and guests and introduced Harsil Goyal and Anand Mahale who in turn asked members to sit in two rows facing each other for speed network that continued for about 25 minutes. At the end of speed network, President of TiE SoCal Smita Bagla explained the purpose of the event, saying, “TiE SoCal’s mission is fostering, mentoring, and funding entrepreneurship.’’ She also recognized the chartered members of the chapter.
Keynote Speaker Dr. Bhagwant Chaudhury, a professor at UCLA, talked about power of numbers and letters and discussed the reasons for using bitcoin and blockchain and described the latest trends in this transformational space.
Industry Expert Raghu Bala of NetObjex, a teacher at MIT, talked about crossing boundaries and learning practical applications of using secure blockchain technology. Bitcoin pioneers Andrew Jasco and Callen Sullivan talked about how to use Bitcoin ATMs.
Rajiv Aggarwalkept guests entertained with his comedy.
