the world, Nivedita Bohra and Abhishek Dalmia, the organizers of the event, came together to make this first of hopefully a series of events . “We wanted to promote Indian culture aboard,” said Bohra while describing why she and Dalmia worked together to make this event happen. Present at the event were the organizers, Artesia city officials, and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and other guests. Additionally, there were over 20 vendors present  with various merchandise such clothing, jewelry, and other products. Mayor of Artesia Victor Manalo, Mayor Pro Tem Ali Sajjad Taj, and other council members were present at the event to assist in the spreading of Indian culture to the world. This event was also supported by “Make in India,” a program launched by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi.
Some of the designers with merchandise on display were Rajneeral Babutta, Vaishali Shadangule, Divya Reddy, and Anika Jain Churiwali. Some of these designers as well as others hosted a fashion show to depict the popular styles for the audiences who watched the models strut down the cat walk.
Infamously known actresses and model, Gauhar Khan was the show showstopper. She wore Sneh Dalmia, one of the designers whose clothes she showcased. “India has a lot of talent, Indians can do it all, we just needs a platform across the globe to showcase what we are about,” said Khan when asked in an interview why it is so important to promote and spread Indian culture.
All of the clothing varied in design and style, however, all of them displayed a sense of original perspective to clothing. Inspiration can come from anywhere for these designers. For example, Shadangule mentioned that she is inspired by nature. Therefore, some of her pieces resemble things found in nature such as waterfalls or tree bark which explains some of the flowy items she had in her collection as well as a patterned item that did indeed resemble tree bark. Churiwalias well appreciates everything she sees and recreates it in her clothing. Smita Vasant was the Los Angeles event manager, coordinating the entire show here. Sponsors were Reema Khan of Reema Beauty and Andy Shah of Andy Shah Photography.
An evening of music and fun followed the  fashion shows. Singers Alka Bhatnagar and Aditi Srinivasan from San Francisco came with Srini Veeraraghavan their organizer who coordinated their performance. The ladies sang the night away.

I personally attended this show and it was well put together, the dresses were exquisite and the entertainment was wonderful.

But this article is definitely not well-written to capture the event's success. This is a plea to India Journal to please proofread your articles for formatting, sentence structure, and grammar - or hire better freelance writers. I agree with the above comments that photo credit should be given properly to the photographer's pictures! Proper journalism standards should be followed and India Journal should research reputable magazines and newspapers for guidance.

I sincerely hope that India Journal reads these comments and changes some of their policies.
