Andhra Pradesh Urban Development Minister Venkiah Naidu who was touring the US. Around 500 people attended the event. The statue is in the form of Lord Sri Krishna, who NTR was well-known for portraying.In addition to Naidu, there were a number of NRT admirers who came from India to witness this auspicious event. These included Kodela Siva Prasad Rao, Andhra Pradesh’s assembly speaker, who gave Rao the credit of bringing him into politics even though, he is a doctor by profession. Andhra Pradesh’s Health Minister, Srinivas Kamineni credited Rao as well for getting him into politics. Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, credited NTR with creating a political platform of equality for all castes and creeds.
NTR was known for his work as an film actor, writer, director, producer, and politician. He served for three terms as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Fans of NTR at the event paid tributes to him as being a phenomenal actor, an amazing politician, and overall a fantastic human being. The hosts, the Kaminenis spoke of their love and respect for NTR. Sarath said he believes the statue will protect him and his family just like Lord Sri Krishna.
Reminiscing, Paritala Sunitha spoke to those in attendance about how NTR was a role model in her life. Padma Sri Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad requested that a museum be set up dedicated to the great leader, NTR. Darshakendra, known as K. Raghavendra Rao, who has directed many films with NTR, expressed his admiration in the form of a poem. He also expressed gratitude to the Kaminenis for taking on such a huge responsibility. Comparing the front yard to Disneyland, all of those in attendance hoped that the Kamineni residence would become an infamously known tourist spot in Los Angles. Thanking everyone who organized and attended the event, Sarath Kamineni concluded by stating that all of those who would like to see the statue and pay their respects were more than welcome to come to his home.
