The dinner was a unique culinary experience in Indian-American fusion dining, featuring musical and other entertainment treats. The menu featured classic Indian favorites like butter chicken, jeera rice, assorted naan and interesting dessert options like gulab jamun cheese cake, carrot halwa cornetto, masala chai and ras malai.
The venue was decorated with red roses and tulips.
The estate was the home of legendary magician Harry Houdini until his death in 1926.

Kumar is a Chicago businessman who founded AVG Group of companies. He is also the founder of the Republican Hindu Coalition, which mobilized Indian-Americans for the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election. He was invited for a private screening of Bhansali’s most recent hit, Padmaavat, which was released at the beginning of the year. The Indian-American businessman had given a ringing endorsement for the film, which went on to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of all time, raking in close to $90 million.
