MALIBU, CA - Sankara Eye Foundation held its charity gala event on September 13 at the Marwah’s seaside estate here. It was an unforgettable evening of great food, fabulous performances, and a fantastic fashion show by Rubina Dilaik, and all this to help a cause, to give the gift of vision through...
the pursuits of Sankara Eye Foundation. This event was attended by a large number of guests and supporters of the foundation. Amidst the beautiful ambience of the estate, Rubina Dilaik, popularly known as “Choti Bahu” from the hit Zee TV show of the same name, through her Fashion for a Cause designer label ‘S. Beatus’, displayed an array of trendy, upscale, modern Indo-ethnic outfits, and her elegant persona added a special touch to the show. Her fashion show set the stage for a wonderful, entertaining evening full of dance, musical performances, and magic tricks, which the guests enjoyed. All the performers donated their time and creativity for this wonderful event.
Sankara Eye Foundation, USA, is a charitable organization that partners with Sankara Eye Care Institutions in India, to help eradicate curable blindness by providing free surgeries to the needy. Events like these help to increase the awareness of the organization and its work in the community, as well as raise much needed donations to help the cause. Murali Krishnamurty, Executive Chairman of the Organization acknowledged the generosity of Dr. Marwah, in donating his estate to hold the event, and thanked the performers, volunteers and the donors for their dedication and their support to Sankara Eye Foundation.
