BENGALURU — Composer Ricky Kej, who won a Grammy in 2015, collaborated with U.S.-based musician Paul Avgerinos on his album, “Grace,” which won a Grammy this year in the ‘Best New Age Album’ category. “I would like to wish my friend Paul on his well-deserved win at the 58th Grammy Awards, and would like to thank him, Wouter and Ciro for making me a part of their beautiful projects,” Kej said.
“After winning the Grammy Award last year, I feel thrilled and humbled to have been part of a Grammy Award winning album and two Grammy-nominated albums this year.” Kej said he was also an integral part of two more albums that were nominated for the 2016 Grammy Awards: Wouter Kellermans’ “Love Language” and Ciro Hurtados’ “Ayahuasca Dreams” for the Latin Grammys. On Dec. 1 last year, Kej made international headlines after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande launched his music album, “Shanti Samsara,” at the Paris Climate Change conference. The music album, “Shanti Samsara,” features Sanskrit verses with spoken words by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Hollywood actress Frances Fisher and BAFTA winner Rosanna Arquette.
