as the LA Chapter Chair. Akshaya Patra recently served its 2 billionth meal to children since our inception, and with the support of Krutika and our Los Angeles Chapter volunteers we are sure to reach our goal of feeding 5 million children”. Krutika Pranav has been involved with Akshaya Patra since 2012. Born and educated in Mumbai, she has lived in Zambia and England before moving to Southern California. She is the VP of Marketing and Purchasing at Highglow Jewelers. Having seen the ravages of hunger on children, both in India and in Zambia, she wanted to help make a difference in the lives of these underprivileged children that Akshaya Patra is committed to feeding daily.

In 2016, Akshaya Patra is celebrating its 15th Anniversary and the serving of its 2 billionth meal to children in India. Akshaya Patra USA is the US branch of Akshaya Patra and raises funds and awareness for the school meal program in India.
