Sikh Temples in the San Fernando Valley, there were contestants from out of the area and some all the way from Riverside and San Diego. The Riverside group was ably supported by well known music teacher Prof. Ranjit Singh and the contestants from San Diego by Gajinder Singh who comes from a family of trained musicians. As expected, the Kaur and Singh Academy and Nanak Sadan Gurdwara had a strong showing and the Riverside group made sure that they were strong competitors. It was very encouraging to see the young contestants taking a great interest in learning about Gurbani and the art of singing Shabads. It was a sight to see a lot of smiling faces holding the shining trophies and group photographs were taken for posterity.
