ARTESIA, CA - The Federation of Indian Associations of Southern California (FIA-SC) announced it new slate of officials for the year 2014:
Chair Person: Aparna Hande, President: Makam Subbarao from Telegu Community, Executive Vice-president: Rakesh Khandelwal from Rajasthani Association, Secretary: Sukrit Mukherjee of Upasana (Bengali) Association, Joint Secretary: Baburaj Dharan from Hindu Malayalee (OHM) Assoc.; Treasurer: Pravin Pujara from Gujarati Association; Vice-president Public Relations: Yatish Chaudhary from Punjabi Association; Vice-president Culture: Dr. Manorama Sharma from Global Peace Foundation; Vice-president Planning: Deepesh Bhargava from Indian Color Stone Assoc., and Vice-president Seniors: Suresh Lohiya from Seniors Association The election to the office was conducted by Ishwar Deedwania on Nov.9 and held in the presence of past presidents Ajoy Dube, Dinesh Bhargava and Dr. Manorama Sharma. The new President Subbarao has worked for the Telugu Association and FIA for a number of years. FIA-SC urged all groups and associations in the community to come together and participate actively.
