IRVINE,CA-Ekal successfully completed the 2015 Ekal OC Annual walk-a-thon on Nov 7.With an attendance of over 90 people it was the most successful walk. The participants included young children, youth and adults. A nominal fee of $5 for students and $10 for adults was charged. Many participants donated over and above the ticket price. All proceeds will benefit Ekal schools in the remote areas of India.

The walk was held at the Jeffrey Trail here. Walkers started streaming early and everyone had hot tea or coffee and breakfast.The walk started at 9 am.On the way participants were presented with Ekal facts.After walkers got back they were quizzed on the Ekal facts and were fed a sumptuous lunch. State Bank of India,Starbucks,Nestle, Sprouts,Trader Joe, sponsored the walk.
