ARTESIA, CA – The United Federation of the Indo-Americans of California (UFICA) unanimously elected Ajit “A J” Dudheker as its President for the year 2014. The meeting was held at Tangy Tomato restaurant here on Nov. 22. Dudheker expressed his gratitude to UFICA members for proposing his name for the post of president, a position he has served in previously, and trusting him to keep the image of UFICA alive and strong. He reiterated his confidence with the experienced and dedicated executive committee and said that together he would work to expand the services of the organization, increase community involvement and youth participation. The UFICA Executive Committee Elected for the year 2014 are: Chairperson Vasu Pawar, President – Ajit Dudheker, Executive Vice President – Niraj Agnihotri, Secretary – Ashok (Pat) Patnaik, Treasurer – Vinod Vineet, Senior VP-Public relations Vinod Dudheker, Jt. Secretary - Vijay Deokar. Vinita Vineet and Charu Miglani will be in charge of Cultural Affairs.
The election process was handled by the Founding President and Trustee, Ashok Patnaik, Founder and Election Commissioner, Harish Dhruv, and swearing in of the Executive Committee by the Founder, Rangesh Gadasalli.
