CERRITOS, CA - Students of the well regarded Odissi Dance Circle visited Vietnam and Cambodia from December 21 to January 1. A seven member group of dancers led by danseuse and teacher Nandita Behera visited the rural village of Vin Phuc near Hanoi, Vietnam. They distributed 450 books and many toys to the children. The group then traveled to Phnom Penh and performed Odissi at an event organized by the Indian Embassy,

A seven member group of dancers led by danseuse and teacher Nandita Behera visited the rural village of Vin Phuc near Hanoi, Vietnam. They distributed 450 books and many toys to the children. The group then traveled to Phnom Penh and performed Odissi at an event organized by the Indian Embassy,
Indian Association, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia. The well received recital drew special appreciation for the patriotic piece, “Vande Mataram”. The group included Nupur Behera, Krishty Mukherjee, Titash Biswas, Eenika Das, Uma Sen, Nayan Behera and Sraboni Mukherjee.
