in libraries today. As we know the library has now moved into the age of digitized information with online databases and guides to legal information worldwide. Following his enlightening address there was a Q & A session.Awards were then presented to the three winners who wrote an essay on ‘How a book changed my life.’ Mao commented that they had a similar program in the Library in Washington DC too. Peter Pirritano, Carolyn Pirritano and Mahendra Garg Board Members of Diamond Bar Community Foundation (DBCF) attended the event hosted by the Friends of the Library & DBCF in the AQMD building . Diamond Bar Friends has been working in support of the Diamond Bar Library for over 34 years. DBCF supports and funds programs for the residents of Diamond Bar. DBCF provides sports scholarships and equipment for youth in the community, funds concerts in the park each summer, supports youth program, provides art scholarships, and awards cash prizes for City of Diamond Bar Photo Contest. These are a few contributions DBCF makes in order to make the community a better place. Congressman Ed. Royce was instrumental in bringing Mao to speak at the event.
