FULLERTON - A body discovered in the ocean Feb 9 night was identified as that of a Cal State Fullerton student reported missing last week, officials said. Praveen Galla, 23, was reported missing last Tuesday. His roommates said he disappeared after taking an Uber to the CSUF campus a day earlier. At 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, Galla’s body was found in the Pacific about 1,000 feet from the Newport Pier,
according to the Orange County Coroner’s Office.An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Galla’s roommates said it was unlike Galla to not return home and that he had been depressed lately.
