LOS ANGELES, CA - Aziz Ansari who was among the presenters who announced the Golden Globe nominations, was also prominently seen by television viewers during the ceremonies on Jan.12. Seated with the Parks and Recreation cast, of which he is one, Ansari said he was delighted with co-star Amy Poehler’s win.
His other personal highlight of the evening, aside from the win for Poehler, he told the media, was seeing Andy Samberg, who was sitting near him in the audience, claim two trophies—best comedy actor and best comedy series—for his show Brooklyn Nine-Nine. “He really had no idea,” Ansari said, “so that was cool to watch.” He confessed that he missed Diane Keaton’s Cecil B. DeMille award presentation to Woody Allen because he was backstage enjoying a cheese plate—”I flew today and was starving.”
