at the Microsoft Theater here. The show was presented by Super Entertainment and Dylan Entertainment. Singh walked on to the stage dramatically while the symphony orchestra played, in black dress pants, a white t-shirt and a navy blazer with a flag of India pin. With the audience going wild Singh kicked off his performance with a hit song “Muskurane Ki Vajah Tum Ho” from CityLights released in 2014. He transitioned into the next song, another hit with the audience “Laal Ishq” from Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The next song had the audience screaming, cheering, and going crazy. It was the recent and infamously known track from Aashiqui 2 “Chahun Main Ya Naa” with Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor .
Singh’s background singers, three women dressed in black and gold enhanced the performance as they sang the duet vocals and the supporting scores. More cheers and screams came Singh’s way as he sang “Jo Bheji Thi Duaa” from the movie Shanghai and“Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta Yahan Pyaar Zindagi Mein.”
Occasionally chattering with the audience members, waiving at them, and asking them to sing along, Singh continued to keep the crowd entertained by his movement across the stage and jumping up and down in the center.
Not having been in this industry for very long, Singh sang an assortment of songs that were not originally recorded by him. These were mixed into a mash up and included “Kabhi Jo Badal Barse” from Jackpot , “Mohabbat Barsa De Na Tu Sawan Aaya Hai” from Creature 3D . The next few songs in the mash up were not songs he sang originally. The first was “Woh Lamhe Who Baatein” originally sang by Atif Aslam, “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai” and“Labon Ko Labon Pe” both sung by Krishnakumar Kunnath.
Singh belted out these songs with such great emotion and went on to sing “Suno Na Sangemarmar” from Youngistaan.
Then it was time for “Phir Mohabbat” from Murder 2, the first hit song that started him off in the industry. This track caused an uproar among the fans as they screamed and shouted in appreciation and stood up to dance .
After a brief 15 minute break, Singh came back recharged and introduced his sister Amrita, who had been in the background singing as well. The duo sang a few songs together , “Saiyaan” by Kailash Kher, Naresh Kamath, and Paresh Kamath and “Iktara” from the 2009 Wake Up Sid!
Going down memory lane, Singh sang some songs from the past like “Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai” from Shor, “Ehsaan Tera HogaMujh Par” from Junglee, and a few more to the audience’s delight.
Not forgetting the younger fans in attendance, Singh sang songs from various generations to everyone’s satisfaction.“Pehla Nasha” from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, “Tose Naina” from Mickey Virus, and “Jeena Jeena” from Badlapur to name a few.
Singh continued by singing songs that he considers motivational and have been an inspiration to him like “Jee Le Zaraa” from Talaash “Zara Sa” from Jannat and ``Dil Chahta Hai.”
He continued entertaining the audience with the melodious “Humdard” from Ek Villain and “Bhula Dena Mujhe” from Aashiqui 2, followed by the more recent hit, “Samjhawan” from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
More songs of Singh’s that are set to be released later this year are “Mahi Aaja” from Singh is Bliing, “Wedding Pullav” from Wedding Pullav, and “Senti Wali Mental” from the highly anticipated Shaandaar starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Ending the night with an audience that had been brought to their feet by sheer enjoyment who were screaming and cheering, the grand finale was “Tum Hi Ho” one of the infamously popular songs from Aashiqui 2.
