
PISMO BEACH, CA – The Central Coast of California celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21 at Dinosaur Cave Park in Shell Beach. More than 30 people ranging from 18 to 75 years participated. Hari Aiyar provided information about ‘pranayam.’ Patel said that yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual act which has made a phenomenal difference in his life. It gives enormous strength and relieves stress. Yoga is ancient art of science and nature, and it is aimed to integrate the body and mind. He added that Yoga is universal and everyone can benefit from it. Patel practices yoga every day since he was in primary school. He said the participants have decided to try doing yoga on regular basis and by the next International Yoga Day, they should be able to performs many ‘asanas’ with very little or no difficulties or limitations. “We are planning to do yoga on regular basis, starting once a month and working towards every week in near future,” he said.
