The event opened with distinguished guest Rushubh Rupani, son of Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani and hosts P.K. Nayak, Sunil Agrawal, Manmohan Chopra, Kanaksinh Zala, Yagnesh Patel, Vijay Patil and Anil Mahajan lighting the inaugural lamp.
Sunil Agarwal, who emceed the event, brought on stage several speakers.
Rupani, lavishing praise on the Indian-American community, said that because of Modi’s foreign policy and India’s rising power, today, the Indian passport had become more powerful.
Nayak exhorted all to continue their support for Modi and spoke of the various ways Indian-Americans could participate in the India campaign.
Chopra shared what he the ‘amazing’ changes he had witnessed during his trip to India on Pravasi Bharitya Diwas applauding the development currently taking place in India under Modi.
Gadasali declared that Modi’s strong and effective foreign policy had changed the image of India worldwide. Iran, and Saudi Arabia both enemy to each other but working with India. Kanaksinh Zala, Yogi Patel, Pramesh Shah, Hema Chopra and others also addressed the audience. Representing Indian-American youth, Deviki Zala was optimistic and said shewas positive Modi will be re-elected. Oversees Friends of Bhartiya Janata Party co-convener Ashvin Johar addressed the audience live from India. He suggested that supporters said a one-minute video, which could be circulated on social media. He also took several questions from the attendees.
