PLACENTIA,CA- Radha Raman Temple of greater LA area celebrated Diwali and New Year with fun and food. The program began with Himani Vaishnav and Kandarp Shah performing a prayer to Lord Ganesh which was followed by lighting of the lamp by chief guests Devendra and Vibha Agarwal accompanied by Biren Patel,
PLACENTIA,CA- Radha Raman Temple of greater LA area celebrated Diwali and New Year with fun and food. The program began with Himani Vaishnav and Kandarp Shah performing a prayer to Lord Ganesh which was followed by lighting of the lamp by chief guests Devendra and Vibha Agarwal accompanied by Biren Patel,
Rita Patel and Vishnu Patel. Committee members Ashvin Patel, Mayur Patel, Ritesh Patel, Beenita Patel, Vaishali Kothari, and Sunil Parikh also participated in lighting the lamp. Chairman Raj Shah and program advisor Harshad Shah also joined the guests. Evoking the theme of Bhagvad Gita, Kandarp Shah reminded the audience of Lord Krishna’s message to Arjun by using well-known Hindi songs. The audience enjoyed the rest of the evening with melodious songs by Jayshree Gohil, Suresh Bhatt and accompanying artists.
The charm of 108 lamps adorning the background on the stage further added to the spirit of the evening. Two songs presented midway through the program by the temple priest Raghunandan Das, enthralled the audience and made it a memorable evening.
Attendees were also treated to a delicious meal before the program and snacks during the break. Each attendee also received Indian sweets and cookies at the end of the program.
In recognition of their service, several dedicated volunteers were awarded plaques. The entertainment program which went on way past midnight was highlighted by the frequent participation of audience dancing to the songs of the band.
