Deputy Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) Sindhu Pillai told IANS: "We have received a total of 40,477 messages on WhatsApp helpline. A few of them were real complaints. A total of nine policemen of the rank of constable to sub-inspector and a home guard have been booked in six cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act." With the help of both the helplines, 23 complaints have been registered till Nov 2. Only nine complaints have been received against traffic policemen, in which four cases has been registered.
