
PARIS - Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on Sunday to attend the Conference of Parties (CoP) 21 climate summit that will begin on Monday. Modi is scheduled to launch a 122-country solar alliance with French President Francois Hollande on Monday. "President @fhollande & I will jointly host a meeting of International Solar Alliance," Modi tweeted ahead of his departure from New Delhi on Sunday afternoon.

The prime minister is also scheduled to hold a meeting with US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the summit.
"Will also attend 'Mission Innovation' hosted by @POTUS (President of the United States)," Modi's tweet read.He will also inaugurate an Indian pavilion on climate change at the annual summit. "At the @COP21 will inaugurate India Pavilion, showcasing India's harmony with nature, environment & commitment to mitigate climate change," Modi said in another tweet.
