NEW DELHI - Siddharth Vashisht alias Manu Sharma, who is undergoing life-term for killing Indian model Jessica Lall in 1999, was on Dec 18 granted nine days parole by the Delhi High Court to appear in post graduate exams. Sharma, son of former Union Minister Venod Sharma, was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing Jessica Lall in 1999, and he had moved the High Court seeking a month’s parole to prepare for and appear in his second semester PG exams. Lall was shot dead by Sharma after she had refused to serve him liquor at the Tamarind Court restaurant owned by socialite Bina Ramani at Qutub Colonnade in south Delhi’s Mehrauli. (PTI)
