NEW DELHI - The Delhi High Court June 3 granted three weeks’ interim bail to former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala to perform the last rites of his younger brother. Pratap Singh Chautala died June 1. A division Bench after going through the status report filed by theCBI, allowed Chautala’s bail plea and asked him to furnish a personal bond of Rs.500,000 and two sureties of like amount.
Moving the bail application, Chautala, chief of the Indian National Lok Dal, pleaded that his younger brother died June 1 and that he, being the eldest member in the family, has to conduct the final rites.
