NEW DELHI – Lok Sabha elections in India will start from April 7, at 6 A.M. Nine phase polling, the biggest exercise ever, will be held on April 7, 9, 10, 17, 20, 24, 30 and on May 7 and 12. Polling will conclude on May 12 at 6 P.M. Counting of votes for the 16th Lok Sabha will start on May 16 morning. The new government has to be formed before May 31 when tenure of the 15th Lok Sabha ends.
