MUMBAI - Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar got extremely emotional with the kind of appreciation his film "Pink" has received and requests everyone not to ask about the "box office collection" of the film. Sircar, along with his entire team of the film, interacted with the media on Monday afternoon for a discussion about the film. "I am thankful to everyone who has liked the film. We wanted people to see the film before and then talk to them...
so it would be more interesting to talk about it and because it's a thriller and we couldn't talk about it before. "I cannot imagine the kind of reaction that we have got. One thing I would like to request everyone is that please don't ask about the box office collection of this film," Sircar said at the press conference of "Pink".
"This film is beyond box office collection for me. We don't care how much the film has earned at the box office. The kind of response we have got so far is over whelming," he added. Actress Tapsee Pannu, who is one of the leading actresses of the film also touched Sircar's feet for offering her the role and this left Sircar in tears.
"Frankly speaking it hasn't seeped in as yet because we have been promoting this film so crazily ...its almost so good that you don't want to believe that something so good can happen. People have been tweeting and have been sending so many messages...," she said. The actress further added: "I don't know how to do this because I belong from a sikh community and we don't touch feet that much." Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury , "Pink" is a thriller based film set in Delhi which features Amitabh Bachchan in the role of a lawyer.
