NEW DELHI - Actor-producer Aamir Khan Thursday said he will be glad to be a brand ambassador for the Clean India campaign and appealed to people to join it. "I would be very happy if I am given this responsibility," Aamir Khan said. The actor was present on Rajpath where Prime Minister Narendra Modi administered an oath to everyone to help keep India clean, after launching the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
"If there is cleanliness, many problems are solved. People's health improves, the water bodies are clean automatically... So I appeal to the people, every Indian should cooperate," said the actor.
"It is a beautiful thought that the prime minister has come up with. We must ensure the dream of a clean India is realised before the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi," he said. Aamir Khan also said he cleans his home himself and his office is a zero waste space.
