NORTHRIDGE,CA- On the occasion of Krishna Jamashthami and the 71st Indian Independence day, The Valley Hindu Temple here ,hosted a talent show. Several dance schools, talented kids, solo singers performed to display their talent to a crowd of around 2000 present to enjoy the beautiful evening.

The show began with a Deep Jyoti pooja by the priests Prakash Pandya and Vidur Dahalin in the presence of hosts Dr. Shodhan, Manu Patel,Lal Wadhwani, Dr. Suman Prabhakar,Jairam Patel,and Suman Dutta. Community service and leadership capabilities were displayed by Purusharth Pandya and Siddhi Kolapkar. A Color Guard marched across the stage carrying the American flag and the Indian Tri-Color. Six year old Raashi Khamkar sang the `Star Spangled Banner’ followed by kids ranging from 5-8 yrs singing the Indian National Anthem.
Over 100 participants performed at the Janmashthami Mohotsav, displaying colorful costume, and breathtaking dance moves keeping the audience on edge. Judges Mithula Patel, Pradnya Kuwadekar, Maithili Patil, Raj Iyer, Chandrakant Sontakke had a challenging task identifying winners like Thalam Dance School, Sharron’s Bollywood Dance School along with other individual winners Ishita Shrivastava, Siya Porwal, Iva Gujarathi, Shivani Patel, Parikshit Pandya, Shreya Ahir, Vijay Vaswani, and Gabriel Sharron. Volunteers like Omkar Prasad, Ruchi Sharma,Veena Sood and Garima Gupta did their best to bring the community together.
