SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central Jersey (IACFNJ) held a Spring Color Festival for the first time with beautifully choreographed cultural dances and fun-filled activities for more than six hours on May 18, at Reichler Park here. Radio Guru Kulraaj Anand of EBC Radio was the Master of Ceremony who superbly hosted the event which drew more than 300 people from the Central Jersey area.
The Spring Color Festival aimed at bringing the community together to welcome spring after long winter months and also to mark Holi. The outdoor color playing was enjoyed by people of all age groups followed by cultural dances from various regions of India by talented dancers. Food stalls with authentic food from various parts of India were a highlight of the event. Other vendors sold clothes and jewelry. There were raffles and games throughout the day. New Jersey State Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula and other community leaders attended the event. The live entertainment and traditional colorful Holi songs were provided by Deep Shukla from DJ Deep of Finnegans Deli.
