ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - Inclement Weather and hazardous driving conditions did little to dampen the spirit and enthusiasm of a packed house at the Meadows Club New Year Eve Gala, Dance Masti here on December 31, 2013. The Gala sizzled with some well choreographed performances by visiting celebs Jay Bhanushali, the effervescent host of Zee TVs Dance India Dance and the lovely Mahhi Vij, an actress and winner of Star TVs Nach Balliye 5. They were accompanied by an energetic and inspired group of dancers from Atlanta’s Prem’s Dance Studio and Chicago’s own Arabian dancing stars Megan Hartman, Jessica Beuckman and Eliza Perry.
Backed by an exciting light and sound arrangement by the Meadows Club and Tantrixx the grand ballroom was a sight to behold. The evening began with a wide array of gourmet cuisine prepared by the Chefs of Meadows Club and multiple bars with top shelf spirits. As the audience settled down and got into the mood for entertainment, the fun began with performances by Arabian dancers and Prem’s Dance Studio who sizzled with foot tapping Bollywood numbers. Jay Bhanushali then made his entry on center stage and proceeded to regale the audience with his energetic dances and animated banter with the audience. Soon members of the audience were up on the stage with him doing the “Lungi Dance” and other popular hits. Children used to seeing him regularly on television host Dance India Dance also had their share of fun and banter with him. Mahhi Vij then entered the stage and presented a few popular Bollywood hits with dancers from Prem’s Dance Studio. Her romantic duets with Jay Bhanushali went aerial as the audience was in frenzy. The mood then went ballistic as the DJ duo of Jeet and Stylz had the audience jam the dance floor with their pulsating beats which led to the countdown to the New Year and the balloon drops. -Speaking later to the press the organizers Madan and Shebani Kulkarni were extremely grateful for the support they had received from the sponsors, Aishwarya’s Creations, Air Tours, Saahil, Sajmil Construction, Big Suchir, National Bankcard and their own kitchen and operations staff. “ Our staff has established a culture of excellence for which we are grateful and feel proud off” they said.
