Mukesh Mathur, better known mononymously as Mukesh. Mukesh was an Indian playback singer of Hindi songs who gained prominence after winning the National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for the song ‘Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai’ from the film ‘Rajnigandha’ in 1973.
In honor of Mukesh, Shah mesmerized the audience with some of his mentor’s most popular songs while performing for the first time in California. Well-known entertainer Roshni Suchde of Roshni Productions along with her mentor Natwar Thakkar presented Mukhtar Shah through the musical evening aptly named ‘Ek yaad Mukeshji ke Baad’.
Mukhtar began the show with one of his most admired songs ‘Kabhi Kabhie’. During the course of the night he went on to sing hits like ‘Mera Pyaar Bhi Bahar Bhe’, ‘Savaan Ka Mahina’, ‘Chandan Sa Badan’, ‘Kissi Ke Muskurahad’, and many more.
Mukhtar left nothing to chance and even belted out two Gujarati songs for the diverse crowd. One of the most rousing ovations of the night came during a duet with Shobhna as well as singer Sanjay. The crowd chanted Mukhtar’s name as the atmosphere was upbeat and energetic throughout the night. Dylan Entertainment along with national promoter Roshni Productions presented an unforgettable concert experience.
