PACOIMA,CA - Lohri was celebrated as usual in a big way at Khalsa Care Foundation here on Jan 13 evening and no one left disappointed. The Sevadars as always made a spectacular arrangements with a large bonfire and all the accouterments. While the Keertan durbar was going on, the preparations were in full swing outside.
PACOIMA,CA - Lohri was celebrated as usual in a big way at Khalsa Care Foundation here on Jan 13 evening and no one left disappointed. The Sevadars as always made a spectacular arrangements with a large bonfire and all the accouterments. While the Keertan durbar was going on, the preparations were in full swing outside.
The Sangat enjoyed the full sumptuous Langar with a complement of various tastes of freshly made pizza for all to enjoy. The bonfire was lit and two sevadars started roasting peanuts in a large utensil which was served to young and old alike.
There was also plenty of roasted fresh popcorn and not forgetting the ‘Reodi’ which is a staple of Lohri celebrations.
There was a slight nip in the air and everyone was trying to get close to the fire to warm themselves. People were throwing peanuts in to the fire and making wishes or just walking around the fire as they enjoyed eating the various snacks.
